RobCo is turning modular industrial robots into an autonomous manufacturing platform
A 100 million dollar Series C round, U.S. expansion, and Autonomous Alfie extend RobCo from modular robot cells into learning-driven factory automation.
The Munich San Francisco Austin Expansion Sequence
RobCo was founded in 2020 in Munich and opened new office and production facilities there on June 27, 2024. The company entered the United States through a San Francisco headquarters launch on September 9, 2025, then operated across three sites by January 2026.
RobCo raised 100 million dollars in Series C funding on January 29, 2026. Lightspeed Venture Partners and Lingotto Innovation co-led the round, with Sequoia Capital joining the capitalization. Roman Hoelzl serves as Chief Executive Officer and Founder of RobCo.
RobCo Modular Cells And RobFlow Control
RobCo centers its existing hardware footprint on modular industrial robot cells and the heavier-duty XL Module. RobFlow directs robot programming, while fleet state and connected production records sit inside RobCo Studio. RobVision supplies the perception layer for machine tending, palletizing, and materials handling tasks routed through RobFlow.
Commercial delivery uses recurring subscriptions for the robot cell, software runtime, and deployment support. RobCo production references include BMW, DynaEnergetics, and Rosenberger.
The Autonomous Alfie Bimanual Manipulation System
Autonomous Alfie entered RobCo public roadmap on April 15, 2026 as a bimanual manipulation system for precision assembly and sensitive material handling. The hardware combines dual-arm manipulation with perception and execution software, with first customer deployments planned later in 2026. Hannover Messe served as the first public preview site for Autonomous Alfie at Hall 26, Booth E35.
RobCo Autonomous Manufacturing Verification Boundary
Known public record covers RobCo founding year, January 2026 funding, and executive title. It also covers U.S. expansion geography, named customers, and Autonomous Alfie deployment timing. Public material does not show customer-level retention, deployment count by customer, or unit economics. Technical gaps remain around robot uptime by workflow, production cadence, and operational autonomy logs registered by RobCo.
